Constant ‘throbbing’ knee pain while not in motion?
Stanley Asked: Constant ‘throbbing’ knee pain while not in motion?
I work in Walmart and I constantly walk on concrete floors all day. Out of the 9 hour work day all my knee's get is probably an hour of rest. I went to an orthopedic to see what might be wrong and he said there is nothing wrong and there is not.much that they can do. I got an MRI and cray and they said nothing is wrong. I was also told to take gulcosamine but that really hasn't done anything. Is there anything else? Acupuncture? Exercises? The pain is only happening when I'm not.moving and resting. Thank you for your help.

Knee and leg pain can be the cause of many different variables. For starters engaging in an exercise and flexibility routine will greatly improve your situation.I would suggest getting a foam roll or use a tennis ball on your IT band. The It band runs down the outside of your leg.Lay on your side with the tennis ball or foam roll and find tender spots or knots on your IT band.Hold the position on the knot for at least 30 seconds or until the pain subsides.Try to smooth out at least 2-3 knots per day.The pain will be pretty bad for the first week or so but once the knots are smoothed out the pain will be minimal.Stretch your hamstrings and quads daily.Last but not least check out this website for exercises. The stronger your knee is the better. If pain persists after all this is completed go back to your doctor to get more tests.MSM chondrotin glucosamine and collagen supplements can all help with joint pain.http://www.kneemeniscustear.com/knee-strengthening-exercises/
